Lee M. Lockwood
Professor of Economics, University of Virginia

I am an economist at the University of Virginia focused on the economics of transformative AI, especially AI safety. Drawing on price theory and public finance, I study how policy can steer AI development toward good outcomes. I continue to work on social insurance and the economics of aging.
